Changeless by Gail Carriger

Something was going around humanizing all of the supernatural’s and since that was Alexia (Tarrabotti) Maccon’s job, she was determined to be a part of the investigation. And she would be, she had the right to do just that. Since the humanization and her husband both seemed bound for the same place, Alexia decided to follow. Picking up traveling companions along the way only complicated things.

Book 2 ….. Had to start by tiring to remember what all had happened in the first book (Soulless), that may be the reason it took me so long to get into the story of it. The beginning was slow, often confusing but then it finally got going. There was Lord and Lady Maccon’s travels and the mystery to solve all with Alexia’s blunt if humorous statements. Whole story was rolling along great, then cam the ending. Very disappointed with what was done to my favorite character (Conall) and I have hopes that the next book (Blameless) fixes it. ( )
