Like most sequels, Daddy Day Camp is not better than the first (Daddy Day Care) but still enjoyable. Cuba Gooding Jr. (Charlie Hinton) was excellent at recreating Eddie Murphys role of a stay-at-home dad. After finding his childhood summer camp had been run down, he decides to take on another Daddy Day adventure. Reuniting with a rivalry from his childhood makes him realize what he lacks and so he call on army dad. Grandpa Buck (Richard Gant) is funny and well played.
A family movie that might not appeal to mom and dad, but the kids seem to enjoy the competition and the camaraderie of the two camps at odds.
